237 bhp @ 8300 rpm
153 lb-ft @ 7500 rpm
9,000 rpm redline
2,864 lb

RX-8:
232 bhp @ 8500 rpm
159 lb-ft @ 5500 rpm
9,000 rpm redline
2,888 lb

for one, the RX-8 has more like 200 horsepower... their cars dyno anywhere from 145 to 180...

Yeah that you need to know how to drive to drive a S2000 rather than a RX8

Didn't know how to drive the RX-8, didn't know how to drive the S2000, he just wrecked the latter.

No even a remotely fair comparison. Those RX-8's are built with tube chassis and are built by Riley racing from the ground up. They only look like the real deal. Also, they are running naturally aspirated 3 rotor engines...not the normal 2 rotor that comes with the RX-8 road car.

I would say potential HP may be a factor for many of us. It takes quite a bit of money to get to 400whp in the RX-8...a consideration.
