I am very pleased to announce that s2k4play and I are now collaborating. I am going to continue to collect the data and post nightly updates as I've done and s2k4play is going to sort the data and produce those incredibly interesting relationships and statistics that he's done on a weekly basis.
This whole concept is getting better than I ever hoped it would.

I'd think this would merit being in its own section on S2KI as it gains traction and we have a sizable list

another cool idea might be to supplement the text info with a pic of each car...each person could use the sig generator to make a stock representation of their car...then you'd have a nice database of the owners and a clean/simple image of each car as it originally came from the factory...could make a cool visual representation?

Rob, at some point, you are going to want the actual names of the owners. The whole idea of a registry is to know the whereabouts of each car so that the owner can be contacted if there are any questions concerning a particular vehicle. Because people are so concerned with security these days, most registries are kept semi-private. That is, one person in the organization is the keeper of the registry and all inquries go through that person. It would be good to see this project develop to that level. I thnk you would make a great registrar.

I'd be glad to take on the responsibility of being the registrar.
Our Registry is still very young, we don't yet have even a significant fraction of the S2000 population registered yet. We have, however, gotten a great deal of traction in the last few days and the Registry is growing rapidly. For now I'm content to simply collect the screen names and club affiliation in order to enable anyone to contact anyone. If our Registry does develop as I thinkit will, I will start to ask for real names and e-mail addresses (maybe phone numbers). I will never publish them however, out of respect for people's privacy and security. If a person needs the information they'd have to go through me with the permission of the other person involved.
That may be in the future. For now I'm content to let this grow as it is as watch it develop.
If this thing continues to grow as I hope it might, I'm wondering if we might get our own little forum.
