Having played the game at Game Developer's conference last week in San Jose, I can say that the game does look nearly as good as the pics. They are obviously not TV screen shots and you always deal with the lower res of a TV but otherwise it is amazing to look at. Driving it is another story. Driving the Mugen S2000 was more like driving in the snow, you could not keep the rear-end in check. As I was whining that my car is much more reasonable, a nice Japanese man starting apologizing saying that the final physics were still being worked on and that most of the models were far too sensitive. In talking with him I learned that he was on the dev team and was there to work with the steering wheel manufacturer to get it all tweaked right. An cool experience second only to meeting John Carmack the night before.

I just came back from the SCEI/Polyphony Digital offices in Nakano (Tokyo). I didn't get a chance to see the game there, but Sony said that a nearly complete build of GT3 with all the tracks and a ton of cars will be at the Tokyo Game Show tomorrow.
