Do you guys know if the PS2 versions of Gran Turismo (GT3, and I think its calle GT2000, or something like that) actually look this good?

I recall from the PS version, the intro videos always looked better than the real game...

is this true on PS2, or are these screen shots of GT3 actually of the game play and not the intro video?

I could see buying the PS2 for GT3

Those are all shots taken from replays, which are generated using the game's in-game engine. Translation: yes, the game will look this good.

By the way, many game retailers now have the playable limited demo of GT3 set up on their PS2 kiosks. You can drive the S2000 (in the correct color ) at Trial Mountain for like a minute and a half...
