S2000 Price Seasonality
Hey gang-
First off thanks in advance. I have been a lurker for years. Now I'm finally prepared to purchase an S2K which I've dreamed about forever.
I would like to know historically if you can find better deals on an s2k in the summer (convertible weather) months, or winter? Or is it a wash?
Thanks
Casey

I would not stop looking; I did not. When you find your car buy it. They ain't making any more.
The car I wound up getting was passing through many auctions on eBay: "reserve not met." This was during the fall and winter, early spring. Contacted seller, dealer in Phoenix, and discovered how high and unrealistic the reserve was. Hammered out a deal in 2 days. Pretty much book but it was a 30K mile, one owner, pristine, stock 09 in my favorite color RYP. (Only 38 of those in the USA) Never looked back.

I know that the worst time to sell (and therefore the best time to buy) a motorcycle is definitely in the winter. I'd imagine that convertibles are possibly somewhat similar in this regard so now would be the best time to start shopping. In addition, it appears that these cars stopped depreciating some time ago. So even if you don't find the right car for you this winter then I would advise you to keep on shopping for the right one straight on through the summer as they will probably be even more expensive come next winter. Best of luck with the search!

I think demand is down some in the winter. That might affect price a bit. But, the supply is down as well. So, who knows?
