Ford Focus ST @8:35
Nissan 350Z @8:26
Chevy HHR SS@8:43 please do not tell me a HHR handles better than a S2k

are you planning to drive the Ring...

I did the Ring in 2000, I had a vw rabbit 1600.. took 10 min or so... on a side day dream note, I would love to ferry my S2k over, just to drive the Ring, tour Europe...

Yes I will do the ring next year some time but not sure which car I will send over . I ran a spec Miata for the past 2 years and am now building a 01 Zo6 but miss the open air for driving around on Sunday mornings and thought to buy a S2k since I always wanted one and they were my dream car back in 1999 when I was a 29 year old and could not afford one. I also ran a 500 whp evo VIII for a few years and did all my driving schools in the Miata at the track. So it will either be a 01 S2k or a 01 911 996 but I have a soft spot for the S as it comes from my roots in racing with my family since I was a kid driving around in my t25 turbo Civic in 1994 before the Honda game got popular. Just thought the S would be faster than the times posted. I got spanked by a few S2k's at PBIR which is a nice road course and know they have so much potential.

Wow I didn't know people ferried their cars to the Ring just to track them there. That's pretty awesome.

How much would a typical trip cost?? I assume from the East coast would be easier since it is just across the Atlantic Ocean.

While I think more power will help reduce the times there are also a few other problems.

Around 140mph the car develops a bit of lift stock. You're gearing runs out at 155. Both of those combined and I'm not terribly comfortable in the car beyond 140.

I can get a deal at about 1800-2100 for the round trip just the car. I have friends that live there that are big ring runners in their tunes P Cars . I think I will take my Vette the more I think about it but I will get the S2k for cruising and fun driving on the streets with the top down.
