It's a little surprising. I always felt that the S2000 has terrible residual value, at least that's the feeling I get from looking at the resale values of S2000s.

high residual (often) = lower monthly lease payments

I saw an ad while in Florida for S2000 36 month lease @ 0 down & $279/month (didn't mention yearly mileage) but a high resid potentially leads to a low monthly...

MY00 S2ks in good condition still sell for 18k+. This is well over 50% of the original msrp.

Some may remember that used prices for the first few years were incredibly high, which makes ~50% today only seem average.

I noticed that the Corvette currently has a 55% residual after THREE years!
