I've never measured it but it seems that my hardtop provides more room than my softop. It seems like there is much more room when I'm in the car with the hardtop on. My softop has a liner on it though, so that may explain some of the difference, but I enjoy being in the car with the hardtop on much more than I do with the softop raised. I'm pretty confident that it isn't less.

I lost about an inch of headroom with the hardtop. I could wear my helmet with the soft top up. But with the hardtop I couldnt. Solved problem by getting the lowered bys seat rail.

Do you have OEM hardtop? Because my hardtop (OEM) provides a great deal more room than my softtop does.

Great, because i was riding with my cousin today, who was thinking of buying my car and getting a hardtop for it and he's a little taller than me. Just wanted to make sure the hardtop wouldn't lose any headroom.
