s2000 gear (MAX SPEED)
Just wondering if anyonel could tell me what the max speed is for each gear for the 2004 transmission vs. the 2003 tranny?

2000-2003 @ 8900rpm
1st - 44.17
2nd - 67.67
3rd - 93.44
4th - 119.20
5th - 142.52
6th - 170.64
2004 @ 8000rpm
1st - 37.91
2nd - 58.08
3rd - 80.19
4th - 102.30
5th - 126.08
6th - 155.66
Don't expect to hit 170mph
1st - 44.17
2nd - 67.67
3rd - 93.44
4th - 119.20
5th - 142.52
6th - 170.64
2004 @ 8000rpm

i got scared and let off at 145. im afraid to go any faster. maybe ill feel better with a little more down force from my diffuser j/k i won't feel ny better from it.

This is a much biiger difference than I expected!
I remember running in fourth right up to ~120 mph and now I have to shift to fifth to get near?
I don't think I like that very much, I now must definately get a test drive before jumping back into s2k ownership.

I don't know where you guys are getting your numbers, but according the The Reverend's S2000 gearing calculator, the '00-'03 figures are:
first gear: 42.8 mph
second gear: 65.6 mph
third gear: 90.6 mph
fourth gear: 115.5 mph
fifth gear: 138.1 mph
sixth gear: 165.4 mph
reverse gear: 47.9 mph
first gear: 42.8 mph
second gear: 65.6 mph
third gear: 90.6 mph
fourth gear: 115.5 mph
fifth gear: 138.1 mph
sixth gear: 165.4 mph
reverse gear: 47.9 mph

Second: 60 mph
Third: 89 mph
Fourth: 112-113 mph
Fifth: 139 mph
This is with red bars flashing for about 2-3/10th's of a second before shifting. The red bars were flashing in fifth for about one-two second(s) before I shifted into sixth gear.
