Needed to replace exhaust (po hacked, cut off cat flange). Found one already had uk mod. But its 38mm bypass was waaaaay too loud for me (have berk hfc, which is louder than same setup stock cat).

So I added restrictors to tune to my liking.

1.5" fender washers, 3/8" hole. Cut slots in bypass pipe, inserted washers. Jb weld and a band clamp to seal and hold in place).

Sawzall to cut slot.

To get washers to fit flush to inside of pipe, had to grind them down along edge to match pipes ID. But only ground them about half way round, to match how far slice was cut (sliced area you want want washer to match pipe OD)

So you don't have to keep cutting and redoing the uk mod to get it right.

I think, to make it simple for OP...

Option 1:
Buy a stock exhaust. This is the most quiet option. It sounds pretty good, but you may find that you want to UK mod it later. Not a big deal, but take it 1 step at a time.

Option 2:
Buy a more quiet aftermarket exhaust than you have. What exhaust do you currently have that you feel is too loud?

Your duplicate thread has now been locked by the admin. Before that happened, you asked over there:

Will the ap1 exhaust stick out on an ap2 bumper or will it hide underneath?

I couldn't remember, so I googled it. Something you shou do yourself next time.

An ap2 exhaust on an ap1, the tips stick out a bit. That implies doing the opposite, ap1 exhaust on an ap2, tips will not stick out far enough.

The tips however MAY swap over. It seems ap1 tips can be put onto ap2 exhaust, but not certain you can do the opposite. Like maybe muffler pipe diameters aren't same.

Just not sure.

Also, the hangers differ. At least the farther back ones. Ap2 uses a triangle shaped rubber hanger, ap1 is just a rubber oval. You'd need the hanger style that matches exhaust. Hopefully exhaust still has its hangers. Used ones might be hard to come by, as people would keep them with exhaust.

The AP2 tail section is different

The muffler tips themselves are about 1" shorter and have alignment tabs.

That's why its important to match the exhaust to whichever rear bumper you have.

Tips will slide on to either exhaust.
