It is nice to know that these cars are safe also. Dan Carney in his book relates that the S2K receives a five star rating (highest rating) in the NHTSA 45 mph full frontal crash test and four stars in the 38 mph side impact test. It also received the highest rating in offset front crash test.

That's a comforting thought. But I must admit that although I know these test have to be done, it seems a little like crash testing a Picasso. These cars are works of art! Crashing one on purpose is just tragic....

Still, if it must be done, glad to know they hold up so well!
