If thats the case the CR would be a better choice if you plan on track duty and money inst a factor
Wrong. If you need something for the track and money isn't an issue.... GT3 RS.

Nah, I just picked up an 08 but the CR wasn't even a consideration. The suspension and radio/ac deletes had nothing to do with it. What killed the CR for me was the WRX (ricer) look of the "aero" mods. OK for a pure track car but I wouldn't want to be seen in one around town.
that's ridiculous.

That's exactly my reaction. All that plastic reminded me of Pontiac and I can just imagine fending off the local pimply tuner crowd who'd think you're one of the tribe.

I'll stick with a plain jane 08 and go topless whenever I please.

I recommend the CR and will say it looks better in person. Most people tell me this when looking at the car and very few say it's ugly. The close up pictures of the aero kit take it out of proportion. In person, the kit compliments the overall picture a lot better. Go check one out first hand and try to drive one before you buy it. The biggest drawback for me is the lack of a soft top. I just leave it off and only drive it on sunny days. If you can deal with this, then the car is right for you.

Don't believe what everyone tells you, I'm sure not to many people are fond of the wing. I love the fact that you can pick it up stock with no soft top. Chassis reinforcements are always nice too. The way I see it you'll spend more money picking up a stock s2 with a HT, and in certain cities like the one I live in I wouldn't DD without a HT.

I still think the CR concept is flawed by the elimination of the softop.

CR suspension is definately tuned better then all the other models. The only drawback per say as mentioned before is the lack of retractable soft top.

Sport Compact Car got a CR to lap six seconds faster than a base 08 model, or something like that, in their recent suspension test.

For every one person I talk with that dislikes the way my CR looks, 10 like it. If they lie, they lie and I can't do anything about it. Still, its clear to me what the overall consensus is.
