As long as the car is washed weekly with one of those self service power washers, with biggest emphasis being on the rear quarter panel lip and under body, the car should be fine.

We've been doing that with our '00 Integra and it has proven to work. The car shows no rust or under body rust. There is surface rust on the bolts and subframe, but that's inevitable.

Lol, I heard this all the time with the CR and now with my AP1. They are cars that are meant to handle the outdoors & the elements. Proper care & it'll be no worse for wear. The only irritating thing is that the bolts that are exposed (brakes/exhaust/suspension, etc.) get pretty tough to break loose.

I have to agree with Timbagoo here. One of the things we love about the S2000 is that it is as reliable as any other Honda. By that logic, it should be able to withstand a few rough winters over the course of its lifetime. I have driven previous Hondas through much much worse, and more frequently. My CR is 4.5 years old and has just under 38,000 miles on the clock. Under 9,000 miles per year is nothing to me. I think it more a crime to have the privilege of owning a nice car and then letting it sit in a corner going unused, only to be found wasting away in a barn under 500 pounds of garbage 30 years later.

I know there are folks out there who drive their cars less, wash them more, and stare at them from a distance. That is great for them, but not for me. A car will likely always be the second largest purchase of my lifetime, second only to a house. I am not yet in a position where I can afford to not use something I spent $35,000 on. If the day comes that I can afford to do that, I still would not do it.

If you ask me, the ugliest part of the image below has nothing to do with the snow on the car; it is having to comply with Illinois' ridiculous front-plate law.

Cheers.

Yeah...'cause...well...she did.

Permission: Story of my post-marriage life, Homey.

Jokes aside though, marriage is alright. It's the first kid you gotta watch out for. Those fuckers will tear your wallet a new one every day. And then, to thank you, they leave a Construction Worker-sized dump in a diaper for you 2-3 times a day.

It certainly appears to! That's awesome!
How is my city anyway? I grew up in the near north burbs, and I miss the snow when I hear about winters like this. The Pacific Northwest winters are like taking a cold shower before sex, very anticlimactic.

Lol I totally agree for the most part, and especially this particular winter season. The mountains have about 1/3 their usual snowfall, so far.

During a normal season you can head up to Stevens Pass, Mount Baker, or Paradise, Rainer and see 100-200 inches of snow on the ground in the late winter..occasionally 300 inches during the biggest snowfall years at either Paradise or the Mt. Baker ski area. The Mt. Baker ski area holds the world record for the most measured annual snowfall in a single year, between 1998-1999 at 1,140 inches, or 95 feet of snowfall.

Winter in the lowlands on the other hand--yes you could say very anticlimactic.

These cars do just fine in the snow. AP1 is even better with no meddlesome stability/traction control
