I think its a perfect DD car. Its decently economical, its reliable, its fun when you want it to be even if your sitting in bumper to bumper traffic. Yess the stock stereo does kinda suck but i am sure many people improve it. The S doesnt drive too stiff and wont wear out your body or anything like that.
I have DD'd mine for almost a year now and although i wish i wasnt putting on the miles, i find the car exciting and fun every day. get the S and dont look back.

I DD my car. I have a Greddy TiC dual exhaust and its very quiet on the highway. I usually do 1 hour trips and never have a problem. Just put the top down and listen to music.

It's bumpy, it's loud, the engine is high strung, there are no heated seats, it rattles sometimes, there isn't much trunk space, the seats don't recline that far back, the steering wheel doesn't telescope...

and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Buy the S, you won't regret it. It's the only car I've had where all the little 'quirks' are endearing instead of annoying.

The one I test drove was very nice with 65k, original owner, but he wants $13,500, which is over private party blue book.
alot of S2ks go over KBB pricing specially the white ones, for some reason.

lol win.

i think this is true of almost every s2000 owner.
i feel like a billion dollars when i sit down into the driver seat of my s2000
and on good summer nights, throw the top down and cruise
I get the same thing haha. I'm like a 5 in real life, but in the S, i'm totally an 8! HAHA, but really, as a daily commuter, my drive is short, but very sweet. I'm almost too wide for the seats but they have great support, i could probably do 3-4hr stints in this car with no problem. Love the feel of the leather and the steering wheel, perfect fit. Storage space is an issue, but I mean, what do you really have to lug around other than a gym bag, a change of work clothes, and the old lady? The car makes me a bit nervous in bad weather, mostly because i'm coming from the sure-footedness of an STi (rain), but this car is twice as fun as the STi, and fits like a glove, I have no regrets and will be driving this thing daily until one of us is dead! Like everyone else said, after a crap day of work, drop that top and take the long way home! The connection between you and the car cannot be topped for probably less than $100k. Also a plus, had the car for two weeks and still on my first tank of fuel. Get one and don't look back.
