S2000 or Civic Si

I like my VSA also, leaves you a bit of confidence in the rain and on the streets. You gotta take it off to have a lil fun every once in a while though..
markstudy...a couple of us are going to hit up some local roads this weekend. Id be willing to let you ride along if you would like to see how the car really performs. I dont think you are getting the full effect of the power or handling on your test drives.
when i test drove the s2k(palm harbor) they had a white 07 with almost 300 miles already! all from test drives..well i figured it had been beat to hell. Salesman told me to turn off vsa and have fun, well lets just say we did a few drifts and doughnuts...haha. Mind you if this car had low miles i would have never of done that to a new car...before i get flamed. Well I wanted the black showroom model and the next day i was in it will never look back! Love every minute i am in the car.

and i like VSA--spent two years in finland driving in the snow, and i find that VSA is great as i can turn it off when i dont want it and i can still let my wife drive the car in the winter without worrying SHE will end up in a ditch

I guess I'm getting old... haha, I don't care about speed as much as before, I figure if I wanna go balls to wall fast, I'll just ride my bike.

I was driving a 1600cc MGA back when most of my friends were shoving big blocks in their Chevy's, so I'm use to people giving me crap about the amount of torque (or displacement) my engines have. I always settled such things on twisty roads.
So many people seem to forget (or fail to realize) that torque at high revs is better than torque at low revs, because of gearing.
The S2000 isn't a typical inertia car by any stretch, but it's at its best when it's driven the same way we drive inertia cars.

Enjoy life! You only live once. Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today. It's a maturity issue. Im 21 and have had several fast cars. Ive wrecked 1 and it was not from doing anything stupid, it was from avoiding a stupid driver.

Okay... I took my second test drive today. Just spent the last hour at Honda Autoway in Clearwater with the S2000 CR

Go buy a 350z instead, you'll be much happier since you seem to crave torque.

yeah, a z might make more sense, as it has the better package IF this is what your values are.
if handling and fun were or should be on there, or if being a convertible is a requirement, the s might have the advantage back.

The handling is where it is at. I run with M3s and porches on really twisty/challening circumstances with stock susp on 2001 with no prob. Rear is twitchy at high speed in tight situations but my buds DO NOT pull away from me.
This is not a drag car.
Rear wheel + 50/50 balance + notchy short shift = pleasure pleasure pleasure
