S2000: Blue book value versus market value

From what I've seen, I'd list my car here but I wouldn't expect to sell it here - prices people demand at S2ki are too low considering what S2000s go for in other trade magazines and newspapers around me.
Its kind of odd to me because people selling here are probably people taking better care of their cars than others (non-s2ki'ers), yet potential buyers here are still looking to get low low prices. Of course, since there are so many S's for sale in one place, that probably drives down price too.
A lot of times people sell their S's here for what they could trade them in for at a dealer, so for me its not worth the loss in money. Of course, I also live in the South, so convertibles are more popular and are easier to sell.

selling private party is a PITA, always low ballers and such. I don't think i'll ever sell private party again, b/c then you have to deal with bargain and all the other BS.

Are these thread hi-jackers simply kids who are dreaming about buying an S2000, but are on a limited budget, or are we really to think that we should be selling our used S2000s for way, way less than Kelley Blue Book pricing?
I've sold 2 vehicle private party, and got my asking price both times.
The key to both was thatI didn't NEED to sell the cars. Both were weekend or 3rd cars, and I was selling them only because I wanted something different. Took about a month to sell each time. Sure, I got lowball offers, I'd just turn them down, not a big deal.

Oh, and by the way, I bought my S2000 here. For the guys asking price.
Well, he knocked some off because the windsheild was cracked after listing it. But it was really just the price of a windsheild and a little more for my time. Fair deal.

Private party is the way to go no matter what. Do you have a problem dealing with people or something? I guess it depends on your luck with the type of individual. I've sold every car I've ever owned via private party and it's the only way to go.
My AutoTrader only shows one 06 in a 100 mile radius so I'm feeling pretty good if I need to drop it for the new SC
