The 370z looks like a vampire with an under bite. lol

I've never driven a Z before so I can't give comment on it but the S is a true driver's car.

I test drove 370 a while back. Engine is great. Susp and brakes as well.. but is there twice as much car comparing to S? No.
Different driving experience - different level of comfort - different powerband etc etc. 370 is much much better car than 350 was. It feels more nimble and more agile.
But again new 370 versus slightly used Z06 (06 in low 40k).. I don't even know what to say lol
//370 conv looks like piece of crap - sorry.. imo of course ))

If money is not an issue with either car tha i would get the Z. it is more advanced, offers more for comfort, and is faster than the S. I have driven my buddies and it is a really nice car.
If you really want a convertible than i would not get the Z because they are ugly as all hell.
I personally dont care for the looks of the Z but you obviously do. The decision would be a no brainer if i were you.

The 370Z is for you. I just don't see someone coming from a 335 and IS350 really driving a sports car. The 370 will deliver most of the amenities you are used to while moving you several notches towards the sportier side of cars. The S2000 is too far towards the purist side of spectrum. I'm making some assumptions about you through your car history which may or may not be accurate, but then again, if you have to ask this question in the first place, I feel safe to say you would be more satisfied with the Z.

, going from a i350 and not being satisfied with it makes me wonder if you would like the s2000 and all of it's quirks.

I agree with NA1NSXR. Your choices of past cars easily say you're a creature of comfort. You will not like S2000 for this reason. Heck, my pretty stiff M3 felt like caddillac compared to my S2000.

I have to agree with the two above posts about car history. From a 335i to IS350, your choice should be the Z. It has more in line with what you are used to and is a bit sportier. The S is really a raw care. No amenities, no real luxury. It's tight, low to the ground and loud. One should always approach a car with their requirements, not their wants. If all requirements are met, then you can see if the car also has some of the wants you wish for.

Good luck!

Better is always highly subjective (regardless of topic) and test driving is, as always, the way to determine your preference. What roads did you test drive on? The S won't impress on typical city roads or straight roads. You need twisties where you can wind up the engine.

Personally, I wouldn't consider the Z but I'm not looking for a GT. Obviously, your requirements and preferences may vary so asking for the opinions of others is fairly pointless IMO unless you can find people with the same preferences. It would help if you could outline your preferences and priorities.

If the test drive didn't nail it down for you then what are your top considerations? I mean, personally I can't imagine thinking of the S and Z as comparable as far as driving experience is concerned (my top priority).

I suspect this as well but the OP needs to make these considerations on his own.

370z is by far the ugliest car on the face of the earth.
