S2000 or 370z......?
I'm not trying to start anything but just need an honest answer......I just recently sold my is350 after owning the car for only 5 months, I want some sporty that has a good aftermarket support and the is350 wasn't the car for me. Coming from a 335i I was expecting alot for my next car. I narrowed it down to these two cars the 370z and s2k... I been shopping for the past month, the s2k has been harder to find, a good stock one that is, one that the dealer is not asking 28k for.. $$ is not really an issue , I can afford both cars but don't want to pay over 25k for a s2k.
I've driven both cars but it's nothing like actually owning one ..... I need your honest opinion in helping me decide which is a better car, I think both cars are aiming for almost the same shoppers and can almost be compared apples ton apples... If paying for the extra $$ for the z not an issue, would you still getbthe s2k?

Personally I think the 370z is hideous looking. 350z looked really cool and the 370z completely butchered it. That being said, owning an S2000 is fantastic. Most people have never seen one before (hence the hundreds of "what is that?" posts in s2000 talk) and is unique as well as being an incredible machine to drive and own. If you get an S, you wont look back. If you do get rid of it in the future, youll want one again. So its up to you whether you want the addiction for the rest of your life

Personally I like the 370Z I think it looks nice and its pretty fast. my brother just got the G37 which shares lots of things with the 370 and its really fast and it handles very well too. but I just LOVE the S2000 I would not be able to compare any car to the S2, its just that different and simply RAW. yes, I know it doesn't have the power to compete with other cars or might not have the technology features that are offered in other cars but theres just something specially about it that cannot be explained. Although I am very impressed with Nissan lately. so I dont think you can go wrong with either choice. Good luck

For some reason my reply did not go through the first time....so I will make it shorter this time around...The 370z is faster and has finer suspension. A friend has a nismo 370z I have driven and while I can say it was an excellent car, the feel is less than the S2000 (Go-kart-like). As for the "aftermarket-ability," the 370z will be more responsive to bolt ons and basic mods, but if you were to jump right into boost for the S it would easily be competitive against a 370z. It kinda boils down to personal preference...like you said, the S2000 is slightly harder to find. Goodluck.

The 370Z offers a lot the s2000 doesn't. The only real thing separating the two is preference in the drive itself.
I personally prefer the drive of the S2000, because I feel at home in it. I am looking to pick up the Z in the near future but am waiting to see how the aftermarket for the car fares, bc atm it is rather bleak. Not much going on for the car option-wise.

Why in the world would you go from a 335i to an IS350?
I think the 370 is a fantastic car for the money. Smaller, lighter, and more power than the 350. Unless you want a convertible, I'd go with the 370. Also coming from a 335i and IS the ride comfort will be less of a shock with the 370.

If money is not an object, I'd go with the 370Z. If you test drove both, I would think you would have your answer already. You are on an S2K forum, so most will tell you to get an S2K. I'm just being honest. Of course if you buy an S2K, the money you save could go towards mods, and make the S2K as fast, if not faster then the Z. Good luck!!

s2000 is the true sports car.. 50 / 50
370z is hot and fast but i personally like s2000 better
its really up to you.. you wan something with great power? or something thats not so powerful but actually feels like a conering machine
i have driven 350z.. man that thing was powerful.. however 370z has even more power
so if you just want power go for the z.. but u want light weighted car that goes so low.. and revs very high.. go for s

if money wasnt an issue, ill take the 370z, more comfort, faster, and modern
plus i think the 370z would have more modding parts in the long run compared to the S

If money wasn't an issue, then I would be more inclined to get the Z, given the improvements it has over the S2k, which can be only blamed on Honda. However, if you have ever owned a Honda, then you should know what the S2k can bring to the table. The top things which have kept me with Honda are reliability, gearboxes, and the pure drive-ability. Everything just clicks when driving the S2k but its a no frills, raw car....a true drivers car.
