hey man no need to be a jerk. In the effort you used to complain you could of answered the question twice.


Look s2k has two models. AP1 & AP2. AP1 is 99-2001. AP2 is 2002 onwards.

If you can afford the ap2 buy it. I have an AP1, and im sick of the shitty plastic rear window, ap2 has a nice glass one. Also the interior has some other light aesthetic changes, like leather/vinyl covering the centre console instead of shitty carpet in the AP1, and tweeter mounts in the door trims.

AP2 engine revs to 8,300rpm, AP1 engine revs to 9K rpm. Both produce the same amount of power. You can read into this more in some of the other areas/threads.

The AP2 began in '04 with the new body code and F22C motor. Your redline numbers are also incorrect. 8000 rpm for the 2.2 and 9000 for the 2.0 (F20C). If your talking fuel cutoff, then that is another story.

To the original poster. Welcome to the site. You'll see this is an age old question with as many answers as owners. If you ask me, the '03 is the best overall package available.........glass window, updated ECU, better stereo (although not great), and the last year of the F20C (in North America at least).

AP1 = up to and including 2003
AP2 = 2004 and newer.

 

i like the 2006. just because it comes in laguna blue and the leather seems to be much better.
