You should get the 350Z. I hate my S2000. It's slow and it's a honda. Plus not many people have S2000s so I'm kind of shunned by others for not buying a "production" car. I bought the S2000 which was hand built at the same factory as where the NSX was made, which I think we all know is a far more superior car than the S2000.

I mean. The 350Z has nice torque and a 6500 rpm redline. You wouldn't need to wait to get to 9000 rpms like the rest of us. Another plus of the Z is that it has a hardtop. See, I have this unfortunate problem with "showing off" so I have to put the top down. See if I had a hard top then I would be a lot less visible. This would probably decrease my ego since I wouldn't be noticed as much.

One of the best things about the 350Z is that it is so personalized. You have to choose the leather seats and the HID lights as an option. See, Honda just made me take those. It sucked.

I guess the one last wonderful thing about the 350Z is how well you will know your friendly neighborhood Nissan service technician. See, they have a few recalls and technical service bulletins. So you can show up there and have all these things fixed for free, and get the coffee they serve in the lobby for no charge as well. Unfortunately since I do my own maintenance, they don't even know who I am at the Honda service department. Maybe once I go to my first tune up at 105,000 miles they can learn who Tom really is.

Well, I hope I gave you some insight and you can avoid the poor mistake I made. Get the Z and save yourself a load of hassle and emberassment. Buying an S2000 is just plain dumb.

Amusing post by Tapout2000 If you're in So Cal, you've got to get the S. I drove around all day today with the top down and man I was thinking to myself, "Life is good". I promise you, It will never get old driving the S.

I got the S...umm...yea, i think everyone else did also...uhh...yea, i don't know what else to say.

I've passed by convertible 350Z's a few times, couple times on the freeway and a few times on the road. Everytime I pass one, I always think "who da hell would choose the Z convertible over the S...the S looks a lot better..."

One time at a red light, a silver Z convertible with top down was next to me while i was in my silverstone with top down. He looked over and said "nice ride". I nodded and said thank you. I opened my mouth and was about to say "nice car you've got too"...but I didn't feel like lying that day.

If the s2000 didn't exist, I'd pick up a G35 coupe 6sp...forget the convertible Z.

a few days after getting my S i went over to a local Nissan dealer, just to check out the inside of the Z... the dealer came up and asked if i wanted to drive it.. but i refused. wasnt in the mood of talkign with a dealer. anyways, i was just there to look. after seeing the interior alone. there is no way that car could take me away from my S !!!!

There are two approaches to building sports cars: light and nimble, or heavy and powerful.

It's like the difference between a halfback and a fullback in football.

Would you rather be the halfback or the fullback? Both are viable choices. It's a matter of personal taste.

The only problem is the Z is heavy but not that powerful. I would say a GT Mustang convertible is a bertter buy than a 350Z convertible, both heavy cars, but the GT is powerful(more torque), Z is not.
