S2000 Or 350z
Guys,
Two years ago, I had an opportunity to buy an '01 S2000, but I opted to buy a house and get married!!. Now I am in a position to buy a car (new or used).
I am comptemplating on buying a 350Z or an S2000. I prefer a convertible, but the 350Z (convertible) is priced ridiculous. If I do buy a S2000, I would likely get a '02 with the glass in the the rear and save some money.
Just need advice on what u all would recommend. I live in Southern Ca. and will use it as a daily car. I tested both cars before.
Thanks,
Tony

GC has the right idea. They are both great cars and will be a PERSONAL choice. This topic has been discussed ad nauseum and started many a flame war. So, use the search function and read some of the post and go for a test drive.

S2000 or 350z ? hmmmm ...
if you ever have the chance to watch the new release "Rotary Reborn" DVD from www.bestmotoringvideo.com, there's a section called Tuned Z Faceoff where 4 modded Zs go up against a modded Yumekobo S15 Sylvia and Amuse S2000...for the little amount of mods that the S2000 had compared to the Zs, it held its own pretty well. The thing was flying through the corners...it had awesome handling!!! There's also the Touge ShowDown 280 section where a couple cars including an modded Altezza, Spoon Civic Type R, Integra Type R, JUN Prelude, and two S2000s race through a twisty mountain road course...the S2000s whipped all the others and looked awesome while powersliding they're way around tight turns. If you are having a tough time deciding, you should buy the DVD, watch it, and the choice will be very obvious to you...good luck!

Sorry man, but I disagree 110%. Watching a DVD tells you nothing on how the well the car performs whe YOU drive it. Test drive the car.... the cars are too close to call and most of the drivers/owners on this forum will agree (I'm pretty sure) that its a driver's race all the way. I've walked a 350 and lost to a 350... depends on the driver and conditions. Watch DVD's for entertainment... not to choose a car.

That is exactly what I was going to say. Most people will not be able to drive either car 10/10. So I don't think that you can decide on which car by performance alone since they are pretty much a wash when driven by most people.

I would go with the S being as you live in Southern Cali. If it were anywhere else, (besides Florida) I would recommend a 350 Coupe. due to the fact that the hardtop would be a lot better DD.
