Didn't mean to get you all worked up like that. I honestly did not understand what difference it would make, but I guess Scott answered my question. So for the S2000 specifically, is being "hand assembled" a good thing or a bad thing?

 

Thats ok. Its all in fun. I think its a good thing. Makes the car a little more exclusive than something mass produced like a 350z or a z4. As far as the comparison to the TR6, I think its a valid one, but I'm sure Hondas hand assembling process is light years ahead of Triumph of the 70's. Those TR6's were cool, but lets face it, this is apples and oranges.

the welding is done by robots, but the parts are put on by hand.

actually, most cars are made that way. I toured the Mondeo plant in Belgium and everything but the welding, painting, and powertrain install was done by humans. actually, human hands put on the engine mounts.
