Any Mazdaspeed cars from 2000 to 2010 are manual only.
now i understand the argument of different chassis, different trim... but what i'm really looking for is the public (non-gearhead) perception. you cant tell me that you take the average joe off the street and show him a mazda3 and a MS3 and he'll know the difference.

The S2000 has to be the most successful car that was NEVER offered as an automatic variant for it's entire run.
I'm not including the later rubber bumper MGBs which were sold from about 1974 to 1980 (still manual). They really weren't the same car.
The MGA was also only manual. It was produced from about 1955 to 1964 and sold about 100,000 units.
As a matter of fact, the Trumphs and Austin Healys were also only manual transmission cars but I'm not sure how many of each model sold.
Like I said in an earlier post, today's S2000 is what the MGB should have become, and would have become had the British auto industry not screwed up.

There were almost 120,000 Porsche 914's sold as well... The only auto 914's were aftermarket conversions.
There is talk of Sportmatic (think early SMG) versions as well - but I don't think they ever made it out of the brochures...

SMG, DSG, etc... Do not count as true manuals (ie. pushing the clutch in with your left foot). They are no where near as fun to drive imo, I don't care if it has paddle shifters or not.
Nothing will ever substitute the driver involvement of a true manual and I hope cars will keep having it as an option..

It looks like the other corvettes, so it doesn't count

The Lamborghini Murcielago was released in 2002 with a manual tranny only.. But then Lambo decided to introduce the E-gear for anyone who wants to gobble a burger while driving an exotic car.
