I think you're right in that as we age and die off, there will be less and less of us around who know how to and want to drive manual, but I don't think the number will ever be zero.

For example, my youngest son just got his learners permit last month. I've been letting him drive up and down our block (with me beside him) for the last year. He has learned how to drive manual, and now, one month into his permit, is quite good at it. He wants my Si or a car with a manual transmission when he gets his license.

My older son's best friend drives a manual, and my older son know how to drive a manual.

I think there will always be a select number of people who know how to and want to drive manual transmission cars.

only cars i like with paddle shifting are those that rev match. i driven alot of paddle shifting autos without the rev match and they SUCK. rev match is awesome.

i totally agree here. lately i've been driving my gf's TDi a lot (for gas savings purposes) and its equipped with audi/vw's dual clutch DSG tranny.. no doubt, that thing shifts lightning quick. however, i cant for my life get used to the paddle shifters or the sequential gearbox thingy......

But, to the OPs question, there aren't many models of cars that are auto only.

M3 is a 3 series. 3-series come in auto. Doesn't qualify
M5 is a 5 series. 5-series come in auto. Doesn't qualify
SRT-4 is a neon. Neons come in auto, and so on.

I think whether or not a car "qualifies" depends on the original purpose of the question.

Taken literally, I would agree that an Si is essentially just a trim level and therefore doesn't qualify as the Civic is offered with both manual and automatic transmissions.

However, if the intent of the question was to highlight cars that came only with a manual transmission for a specific purpose, such as being a more sporting vehicle, then I would say that the Si qualifies. The Si comes with an engine, suspension, and transmission that is all designed to be a more sporting model (albeit a trim level) of the Civic, and thus only comes with a manual transmission.

Now, Infinity G37 Sport sedan only comes as a MT. However, I would say this does NOT qualify as the primary difference between this and other trim levels is the MT only. There are few other differences and they are insignificant.
