I'd want to crawl all over it but I don't want to waste my time if the frame is a PITA job to do

While I'm no engineer or mechanic, I believe the windshield frame is an integral part of the driver and passenger's safety in the event of a rollover. Once it has been compromised, I personally wouldn't want to deal with the car.

I rebuilt a 2000 that was hit in the rear. The previous owner did a very poor job at trying to rebuild the car and I decided to try to make it right. I found the S to be very difficult get exactly right. Even after trying a secound time to get everything straightened out the hard top still did not fit properly. I sold it a few years back and plan on getting a 04 Rio next spring. I don't plan on purchasing salvage again.

Trust me, that S won't see the road again. It has frame damage in 2 places, one being the windshield frame, the other is causing the positive camber in the rear. If you put a full cage in it, it might make a nice drifter with all that + camber
