You should check out some auto brokers. They may be able to get you a car for quite a bit less than MSRP. Right now I have a quote for about ~2k under MSRP for an '03, and delivery by flatbed truck to my house is included. I just have to decide "yes."

$29890 at two different dealers here in Rochester NY for new '02's. Seen similar prices quoted in this forum for NYC dealerships. Ditto for CT and perhaps Boston. Also there were some posts from Chicago with scanned ads with slightly below $29900 prices. And some of these were available by the end of August.
But I have a preference for Silverstone. And I didn't want to buy one year's depreciation. I think we'll see the prices break on '03's a lot earlier, at least in some markets since:
1) The bright and shiny new factor is over. It's the 4th model year. Especially for sports cars.
2) All the new/newer tempting competitors.
3) The economy
4) All the deals on more mainstream cars, I think will create more price pressure.
Note all the low priceson used (even some new) in the marketplace section. While the premium to MSRP is played up in some media (Edmunds TLV is ridiculous), others are having trouble moving them.

I bought mine in Chicago in August for a llittle over $30,000. It might pay to check out their prices and have it shipped.
I would suggest waiting for December, you should be able to get it for invoice.
