Default rx8 vs s2k

a rx 8 owners comments and the s2k bit at the bottom of the text
nice to see!!
rx8
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The ABS was not working the day I picked my car up.

Then 2 days later the electric seats stopped working.

Then a week after that the radio started smoking then blew itself up.

After only 800 miles the ABS stopped working for the second time.

At 1350 miles the Air-con Stopped working.
General comments?
This car was the biggest heap of rubbish that I have ever owned.

That is why I bought the car for over

A lot of RX-8s have been having numerous issues... My friend in VA has one - he is always reporting back that this or that has crapped out.

My most reliable car so far? No joke - my '03 Evo VIII. When I traded my first S ('01) in for it, I was so worried I'd made a mistake as far as reliability went. My first year with my '04 S has been trouble-free.

Interesting story ...

I actually was in a dealer checking out a RX-8 yesterday (when I'm really looking into getting an S) to see if the car is worth considering as an alternative to the S. It doesn't feel like the car had a lot of advancements since 10 years ago when they stopped making the FD in US when I was there ... maybe i was being to picky ... anyways ...

^ I dont think you were picky at all...That car would have been a huge success if they stuck with the 13b twin turbo powerplant IMO, and kept the HP to 276.

The RX-8 is a bad ass car, but I've heard it is a lot to maintain and fix rotary motors. (One of the reasons I didn't get one)
