Why are you yelling at everyone?
In general a 3rd generation RX-7 TT should be able to win against an S2000.
Lots of cars to watch out for, there are some low 9-second 1/4 1950's Escorts here in town, and many vehicles with factory turbo's can be souped up very inexpensively.
Ultimately, don't street race anyway, and at the track race anyone just for the fun of it. And on any given Sunday...

As much as I love my S2K, I would have to tell you that RX-7 will be able to whoop my car real good. In many aspects, RX-7 has a very similar handling and overall feeling to our car. I would describe RX-7 as a souped up version of S2K. But again, you can't take the top down on a RX-7...

My ear hurts from all this yelling...
The RX7 should hang or most likely pull on the S2000. And once you spend money on mods on the RX7, no telling how many buslengths it will have on the S2000 in the straights...
Cheers,
Bryan

No surprise. I just gave up my 3rd gen RX-7 two weeks ago for the S2000 (nine years, 121 k miles). The two cars are approximately the same 2800 pounds, and the RX-7 has 255 hp. The torque peak is 217 lbft at 5000, and the hp peak is at 6500. For sheer brute force, there is much more usable power off the line. As a practical matter, in everyday driving, it is much harder to extract the power in a manageable fashion. There is a huge ratio gap between 1st and 2nd gear, so the engine revs drop nearly in half at that shift. Also, requires a very hard pull to get it into 2nd from 1st. Average all the numbers I have seen over the years, the RX-7 will do 0 - 60 in the low 5's, while the S2000 is more around 5.8 to 6.0.
If straight line acceleration is the be all and end all, there are still a few of the 3rd gen RX-7's to be found, including mine, which is somewhere near Savannah, GA these days. Enjoy the big puff of blue smoke on start up, and the enormous difficulties of keeping the twin turbos and all the associated electronics and plumbing in good shape. I am convinced that Honda's electronically controlled VTEC via camshaft is much, much more user friendly.
