Run out of gas yet?

the gas guage on this car sucks. it's just the way it is. the last 1/3 drops really fast. i once had to drive 30 miles with no bars to reach the nearest gas station.
Best bet assuming consistent driving style - refill to full all the time and use your odometer...or refill at 1/3 full.

Same here. I've never been down 1/4 tank yet. When it reaches 1/2, I'm ready for a fuel stop.

i usually fill up when the gas light comes on. i have a 20 mile drive from my house to school so i constantly have to look at the gauge to make sure i dont run out.
does anyone know if the gas light and the digital gas gauge are run off the same sensor? it seems like the gas light comes on radomly, sometimes on 3bars left and sometimes on 1bar left.

Had a Subaru once, and complained to the dealership that the gauge was inaccurate, and the light didn't always work. They said it checks out fine. I ran out of gas with a quarter tank, and then got rid of the car. Subaru service sucked, but I did like the car.
The light on my s2000 comes on and with a fill at that point, generally takes about 11 gallons. Pretty safe margin imo.
