I don't think they even put nearly their fastest car against the GTR.
The fast stuff on the show has the detroit speed subframes. The front stuff converts it to double a-arms.
The rear is still a fixed axle but they do something to make them handle better probly gets rid of lead springs or whatever horrible suspension they had stock.
Some have cages that goe thru the firewall to the shock mount points to stiffen them up even more.
The fast ones have about 600WHP LS7 engines, corvette Z06 brakes and like 11" rear wheels with 300+ tires.

Carolla had one of these guys on his Carcast show and the were talking about one of the cars. Fully built LS motor with 680hp and all new everything under the car. I am pretty sure the guy said the car had 315's all the way around with 14 inch brakes. Not exactly a fair comparison to a non boosted s2000 hell even a boosted one would have to be one hell of a build. These muscle cars are basically race cars that are "street legal".

I am surprised they let that GTR run, probably didn't even know what it was. It is the only car I have seen on the show with even close to the same power level and it wasn't even a contest. Their whole premise seems to be just win the drag race start and then hold on to the lead, hard to pass even if you are faster in the corners. GTR won the drag race and it was all over. Looking good Dan, I'll have to check that episode out for sure.

Yes it is very hard to find a place to pass when you loose the drag race to start, we got three laps and it went by fast. My episode is on next monday the 18th tune in ...

That camaro driver sucks he brakes so early but when the M3 went round the outside he let the brake out and crashed into him
I think in my s2k from where the exige was I'd have gone outside but its a lot cheaper to fix than a lotus!

The GTR that won also had problems with its AWD system and was a very basic bolt on GTR. The GTR was rear wheel drive for the competition. If the GTR had a working AWD system, it would have been even a bigger spanking especially since the driver of the GTR mentioned that he spun 2nd and 3rd during the rolling launch.
