RSX or S2000?
I am in the market for a car and my two possible choices are either used S2000 or a new RSX Type S. I like both cars immensely but I have to decide. I am 19 years old and am a college student so I will be using this car to drive home and such over breaks, (4 hrs to my home from school). Luggage space is not real a concern. I have a lot of driving experience in a Porsche Boxster and have an absolute blast every time I am behind the wheel. This is why I am so interested in the S2K, because I believe it has an even more rewarding driving experience. I love that the S is a convertible and that it has a 9 grand redline. Then the RSX will be a better all year round car as well traveling on the highway for prolonged periods of time. I could deal with the 8 K redline of the RSX, which I have test drove and seemed to be just as quick as the Boxster. I don't know I'm lost, the fact is I have wanted an S2000 since it came out and now that I have the opportunity to buy one, I am thinking in more practical terms and leaning towards the RSX. What do you guys think I should do?

Buy the RSX-S.
I have an S2000 and an RSX-S in my garage.
The S2000 just doesn't make for a good college car... it doesn't make a great daily driver either. I LOVE both cars but if I consider practicality at all, RSX-S has to be it.
Plus, the RSX-S is EASY to mod and have fun with. The RSX-S in my garage belongs to the fiance... I wished I had one myself to play with and mod.

I do not think the S2000 is for college kids. It is just not practical. My son's friend just got and RSX and it makes way more sense. Let's face it, you will be hauling things, and people. The S2000 is a great second car, a weekend car, a fun car, but it has too many limitations to be an only car for a college kid.

Not only is the RSX going to more practical, it'll probably be less of a target. If you college parking lots are anything like mine, your S will be keyed, dented, slashed, and any other manner of destruction.
