Mk4 dash in an Mk2 is very common. Google it and I am sure you will find a lot of results. I was on VWVortex a little while ago and bumped into a DIY for the Mk4 into Mk2 swap.

You'll have to hack up the dash, the pillar trims, the door panels, the kick panels, and good luck getting any of your HVAC to work. The VW's are at least somewhat similar, so I can see it working. But the S2000 isn't even close. If you were swapping a DC5 interior into an EP3, or an EM2 - yeah, maybe.
You're better off getting a second S2000 dash, lots of fiberglass, foam, and vinyl and having a go at it. A 250 pound dashboard doesn't seem that appealing...

The mk2 and mk4 are absolutley nothing alike. Thats like saying the EF and EP3's are similar.... by no means are they. But this isn't about VW. I did a little research and this is one of the links I found. In my opinion if it can be done in an EG it can be done in an AP1/2.

It can be done, don't worry to much about getting hvac to work either. It will not be that hard to get it to work. I think the hardest part will be custom making sturdy mounts. There would be more posts like this but most are really happy and love the s2k dash. Thats the only reason it hasn't been done yet, be the first.
