Mine does it too, 4 month old '02, no mods. It doesn't do it very often, but it can happen with either a cold or warm engine.

My '02 does it too. Especially when I am going backing in to a parking spot and going from reverse to 1st gear. Hmmmm.

My '00 does it too and it's most noticeable when the engine isn't fully warmed up (less than 1/4-mile of driving) and when going from reverse to 1st gear. I thought it might have been related to the MAP sensor so I removed it, tapped it, and replaced it without any improvement.

Hmm... sounds like we might have an answer with the IAT sensor! It makes sense and has appeared to cure some of the other drivers problems.

BTW: Did anyone else notice that it seems like a lot of people just developed the problem or it just got worse (AND it's changing seasons??? Hmmmm)

I think Hondafan's explanation is right on. I have a MY00 and I've had this problem for almost three years. I've just never pursued it because the car has never actually stalled on me and it only happens occasionally when the car is still warming up (although it has on rare occasions done it after warm up).

I have it too, it's been going on for a while. I only notice it with the a/c on. Tried to take it to the dealer, but they could not reproduce the problem. Now that I've installed an AEM intake, it still happens.

If it is the IAT sensor, is there any way to check it so that we can prove to the service department that particular sensor is at fault?

Not everyone's got it. I don't think this is normal.
