Default Roof-up Wind Noise - ARRRRGGGH!

The front edge of my roof doesn't seem to seal snugly against the rubber on the windscreen. When doing 70mph or above with the roof up the wind noise is terrible. If I squeeze the roof against the rubber the noise disappears. The latches are both tight with no loose bolts. Do I need something as drastic as a new rubber seal (it doesn't appear perished) or can I get the latches adjusted for a tighter seal??

I try and have the roof down as much as poss by the way - not one of these red hot weather only types!

I'm also on the lookout for replacement 16" original wheels (set of 4) if anyone has any they want to offload for less than the cost of me refurbing my very tired looking originals

You more than likely need to replace your striker latches. Do a search on the subject to find the directions, it's a very easy procedure. You can't adjust anything with the top really.

When you take the top down check the metal (striker) where the top latches, there are probably groves at the point that the latches fasten.

I'm not completely sure but I believe all they sell now are the hardtop latches.
