Roof/door seal/strip

Anyone know how the rubber seal is suppose to fasten to the roof?
My drivers side forward one keeps coming away from the rail at the middle join, usually when the roofs down. After having a look to check, I noticed a little cut out on the inside of the seal, A sort of hole and slot (like you'd find on the back of a wall clock). This slot appears to sit directly over a screw for the metal rail which holds the material and seal in place.
When I went to look at the passenger side, it doesn't come away. (I didn't tug hard). Is this screw supposed to hold the strip in place? or is it supposed to be different to a standard domed head?
Thanks all
