My biggest point in avoiding any accident --- always anticipate

In this case, be prepared to move to the center of the car and try to drop to the center console. You probably have your top down most of the time now.

This is one of the reasons NOT to have a 4, 5 or six point harness system in a car without having a roll cage. Shoulder straps will hold you upright --- even in a roll. No rollcage, no hairline!!!

The normal safety belts give you enough manuverability to drop to the center console --- shoulder straps will not, especially if properly secured.
