wow i'm really surprised the windshield collapsed. i always felt safe driving the S over something like the miata was because of how rigid the windshield was and woudln't collapse in case of a roll over..either way glad ur unhurt from that because some pics i've seen of miatas with collasped windshields weren't so pretty.

Glad you're ok.

It's amazing that you were able to walk away from this.

Regarding the "don't beat yourself up over it" comment, IMO it's entirely appropriate that you *should* beat yourself up over it, and pretty severely, too.

DO TRACK DAYS. If nothing else, you will learn that the real fun/challenge happens at 10/10ths, and that you just can't approach that level on the street.

On the street it doesn't make any sense whatsoever to do more than ~6-7/10ths. 8/10ths isn't really much more challenging than 6/10ths, the critical difference being that you give yourself much less margin for error.

And of course track experience will hone your responses and reflexes so that when something unexpected does happen you will be more likely to recover.

Sorry to read of this accident. Honda safety wins again, though. You survived a rollover in a convertible, for which you should be eternally thankful.

That car is totalled, though.

Wow!!! congrats on surviving. As long as you've learned what not to do, don't beat yourself up too much.

Really sorry to see your rollover. You are lucky for no major injuries or worse.

On another note, another s2k bites the dust. My 04 just moved up the value food chain.

Glad you are ok, just don't smash on mountain roads like that ever again. that's how I totaled my last car, and an acquaintance of mine nearly got killed going off the side (the barbed wire and a post kept him from going over.)

It could have been a lot worse than a rolled S2K. Be careful out there.
