Very interesting... the Solo 1 sanctioning body is caliming I need to install a roll bar in my s2k to meet CASC requirements (they are also claiming that it has none at all). Is there any documentation which states that it is a functioning roll bar which I can present to them so I don't have to mockup my s2000 just to take it to the track for solo events and lapping days.
That all depends on the definition of "functional roll protection". Some track organizations allow the S2000 to run with the factory roll protection and other do not.

The folks you are talking to are wrong about the S2000 not having any functional roll protection, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the roll protection it does have meets their rules.

Some require that you have a hardtop right? By then, the hardtop doesn't look like it's going to do much in case a car flips. Or am I wrong? Or do those tracks only take rollcages ...

You can always check out the "For Sale" forum. I believe there is a spa and also a sebring one on sale now.

I believe new ones run for 2.7K shipped from Flagship Honda in AZ, and used ones are around 2K with hardware before shipping? The real question is, whether Flagship's price includes the hardware ...

Yeah. Out of sight, out of mind. Hardtop will do nothing for you in a typical rollover. It would help if you ended up upside down in mud or soft sand -- it would help keep the roll hoops from digging in.

Actually I've been curious as to whether or not anyone has removed the plastic covering and if it looks decent. Could save some good weight possibly...
