I have SafeCo and have had two chips.

Repaired both times at no cost to me and no increase in premium.

Does anyone know of a CHIP/CRACK RESISTANT WINDSHIELD for the s2000.

1) i got a chip about the size of a dime which i quickly got fixed
then
2) I got hit again on the freeway but this time a crack quickly formed. Within a day it was about 6 inches and now its stuck at 9 inches.

Anyways this sux, and i dont know if they can repair such a long crack. If i need to replace the windshield i want to get something more resistant.

I got my first chip two weeks after I got the car, but i was on the passenger side so I let it go. Its now been four years, and I'm going to replace the windshield because the surface is all sandblasted.

this is what u do,
find some kind of frieghtline truck and get thier phone number, truck number, what time and what road. call them up tell them that u were behind them or going to pass or something and tell them that thier truck threw a rock up at ur new glass and put a chip in it.
u might have to push alittle with some truck companies but they will pay for ur glass. that has worked for me and all my friends i tell about.
good luck

Right. Perpetrating a fraud is the best solution.

weeeeeeeellllllllllllll in florida u just call and they send a glass guy out like the next day for free. no insurance increase. they are MORE than happy 2 do it and even thank you, because it's better than them buying a windshield.

free & better than lying 2 a truck company. mean!

did u call yet?

oh, btw, u can't even tell when they fix it. loox nice.

Yeah, either way, its an insurance company thats paying for the glass. No sense in going through the rouble of calling some truck company.

That's about a dick move if I ever heard one.

If you don't want a rock chip stay further back from the truck. He doesn't control the road conditions and has to drive on the same highways you do.
