Road Trip in the S
#11
I actually just drove a 250 mile trip which is nothing compared to you but I must admit, the S is such a fun car to drive long trips. Blast the a/c and the interior feels so luxurious.
I did have to take a break halfway through to stretch and apply movement to my legs.

We've done a 9 day MA to VA road trip and an 8 day MA to Nova Scotia Canada in the S. The trunk was full and we did laundry mid week, and we hope to take other road trips in the future. The view is always better in a convertible.
I'm pretty pleased with the scenery we saw in Nova Scotia. Not to bore anyone, but here are a few pics...hope you don't mind.
Also, if you have the time and a GPS, set it to avoid highways, and you might get lucky and be on some really nice roads.

As I already stated the S did great on the trip. To top it off, I figured up my average mileage over the trip and it was 30.9mpg. This doesn't include a 1/2 tank that calculated out to 37mpg. I've never had a car just blow away the EPA estimates like the S does, of course, a huge chunk of the driving on this trip was in the "Driving Miss Daisy" mode, not the "Transporter" mode.
Can that 37 really be right?
I think I got the mileage written down correctly on the gas receipt. 37mpg is just on this one fill, the average highs on several other fills were in the 33-34mpg range. I thought maybe altitude might be part of it but the highest mpg's all came in WY, so not the lowest or highest altitude on the trip.
The car cleaned up pretty good. The engine bay didn't get near as dirty as I was expecting after hitting the torrential rain for an entire day. I did get a few small nicks in the nose, nothing horrible. Well worth it for the use and enjoyment on the trip.
A few S2000 and trip photos, if you are interested.

Yeah I was shocked how comfortable this car is on long trips. Done NY to FL and back 3 times now and my back never hurts at all. Did 12 hours one day and other than being tiring driving so long was great.
Love this car!
Can't wait to do a west coast drive some time!!

god read...i took my first road trip from the Bay to LA, i was sacred that the car would beat me to hell all the way down there...the high wasnt fun, just because its the longest stretch of road i have ever drove...but the S made it so fun, that a 5 hour drive felt like 2 hours...
