This is no mystery. A good turbo S2000 will walk all over a SC S2000.

Brand new issue. Just got it last night.

They did say it was difficult to launch, and that they would roast the tires when the revs were too high...so I assume they didn't mind abusing the car a little bit.

The suspension settings were not stock, and the tires were lower profile ("Shorter sidewall tires and stiffer springs") ...so that would make an impact, as well.

Cool. Hopefully, I'll get my copy in the mail tonight.

Did they happen to do any rolling acceleration tests? say 5-60mph? That would be more telling of the power differences as it strips away the issue of traction/bogging/clutch abuse in a launch scenario.

Not that I remember. It was a fairly short review, with the specs contained in the text.

As Ultimate Lurker said, it's the old launching problem

Also, look at the boost at certain RPMs. Only 1 psi at 4K, which is still enough to bog, but launch too high, and your rear end is screwed.

Is there any way to raise the boost at this point, or is this just the way the kit is and will always be?
