The front cover of Road & Track states: 5 Best Covertibles for Performance, Excitement and Value!

Come on now. . .the S2K has all of these!

Here was the line up. . .

1. Mazda Miata (yeah, yeah. . .damn zoom, zoom)

2. BMW M3 (I don't disagree with this choice)

3. Chevrolet Corvette (no comments)

4. Porsche Carrera (Alright, it can at least make it in the line up)

5. Ferrari 360 Spider (at less than $200k, that's value!)

Well, never the less. . .this upset me for there was no mention of the S2K in the column. . .guess Honda cut the advertising budget with Road & Track. . .

**Disclosure: (just to be on the safe side, here) I do not have the actual magazine right in front of me and used much of this from my memory so please do not get angry (ha ha) if the facts are not correct and as always the opinions expressed here are mine and although I am a fellow S2K owner, I can understand if you don't feel the same. . .

 

I just saw that magazine, the s2k should atleast be there instead of the miata.

 

If you read the article, the S2000 doesn't qualify for the category the Miata is in because of its price. The corvette won the category the S2000 was in. Different people have different opinions and for the money the corvette isn't too bad. Definitely not my type of car though.

Unlike some people I don't really believe in some big advertising conspiracy with the major car magazines. I do think it's funny though when somebody writes something positive about the S2000, everybody praises that magazine. If somebody dares to say anything negative everybody starts thinking conspiracy theory. When they start rating a Pontiac Grand Am over an Accord, I'll start believing these conspiracy theories.
