[QUOTE=Boofster,Apr 4 2007, 06:59 PM] I know a lot of people are jealous because they are in a situation in their life where they don't really want to be.

Dunno about a NOVA bias, but I have also been in some sticky situations, even if unintentional - on the toll road, doing about 65, the asshat in the lane next to me decided to change lanes, sans blinker, doing about 50... 10 minutes later down the toll road, same thing happens again with an escalade

Only had one person yell at me from their pickup while the top was down, but couldn't hear them over my tunes

One of my favorite vids about rednecks in trucks harrassing people in convertibles.

i don't wanna sound like a total sissy but the name of the game here is SURVIVAL. it's just not worth it to play into their games and risk your life.
My dad strongly encouraged my to get my motorcycle license before my car license and I'm glad he did. Being in control of a bike gives you a totally different perspective on driving. I admit sometimes when I'm in the S, I know it's a superior car (especially in my little city ) but I also need to keep the ego in check and remember not to be as much of an asshat as the other drivers out there.

I'm sure you realize that the video was staged.

I don't think you'd ever see that kind of conduct in this area, because we're all rednecks, and too many of us have carry permits.

About 25 years ago I actually had a guy draw down on me in bumper to bumper traffic. Pretty scary!

I'll admit, I do this all the time but only if people aren't using their blinker. If someone is trying to get in front of me and there's no blinker, I speed up and get next to them and block them in. I do it purposefully and sometimes I yell "try using your blinker next time" if they have an upset look on their face.

If anyone rides my bumper, I brake check them HARD. What's the worst that could happen - they hit me and damage my already damaged rear bumper?

As for people parking next to you - I hate it as well, but often I'll get an S2000 that'll park next to me and I always give them an S2K Atlanta business card. If I see an S parked I park next to them just to say
The brake check is definately not the way to go. Why damage your car b/c he is an idiot? I mean I usually do not have problems with other cars pacing they do it all the time regardless of what car I'm driving. Its a must to drive at least 20 mph over the speed limit in order to cut witout ppl pacing you. Ppl just don't like it when they slow down for other drivers. As for them tailgating u and u want nothing to do with them, u jus hav to be the bigger person and move over.
