RIP HKS USA
#12
I'm not quite sure I would say this is next as they aren't going bankrupt, just coming out of the US. A couple vendors will get smart and stay stocked on the HKS products they know do good for sales and our impact over here will be minimal. At least that's my take on it.

What parts do they even make for the S2000? I only know they make an exhaust, and I don't even think there are any gains from it.
It is sad to see any company go though. I wonder how much this was influenced by the increasing number of laws that ban certain aftermarket parts too. I live in CA and it really sucks because there are so many restrictions that if I want to make my car any good NA, I'm basically going to have to make it a track only car. But the wonderful weather keeps me from moving elsewhere

HKS's hayday was back when Supras were plentiful. Since that time they really haven't been very innovative, it's no suprise they can't sell much anymore. Outside of a few decent exhaust systems I see nothing else in their lineup that looks all that attractive. New companies came in and made cams, cam gears, intakes, and exhausts at a fraction of the cost of HKS. HKS also made what I believe is quite possibly the worst aftermarket intake design of all time, rather than innovate they carried one with a poor product design.
