[QUOTE=tritium_pie,Jan 1 2005, 08:37 AM] 17" would've been better, and 16" SW-388s would've been best.

It makes you wonder why Mugen makes a 17" wheel for our car knowing that it would hurt performance??? You would think that everything they made would be for performance gains not looks.

The first line of your response sounds like some sort of rebuttal to mine -- and then you proceed to make the same argument.

We agree. If each wheel has a larger rotational inertia, it takes a larger torque from the steering column to change the DIRECTION of the angular momentum of each wheel. The net effect would be a "heavier" feel when cornering. Each wheel behaves something like a stabilizing gyroscope, the same principle that keeps satellites spinning and bicycles from falling down. The larger the rotational inertia, the greater torque that is needed to change the direction of the angular momentum.

...and please, spare me the junior-high school physics lesson.
No rebuttal. Just pointing out its more than just straight line acceleration that is affected.

No need to be an ass.
