Is it just for fashion's sake? it seems completely impractical both financially and driving-wise.

yep a conversion would be stupid now that you all have informed me what is involved. someone told me the petals were DBW in the 05 so swapping them over to the right would be easy... i also heard (this is bullshit) that the steering was too... that it was plug in play type without a collum.

im just going to buy a right hand from UK or Japan

You don't want to import a RHD from the UK - a brand new one costs over $45K here

after you buy one from over there you will then have to have it made US legal-emissions, safety, etc if its even possible. RHD is legal here, I have one but its beyond 25 yrs old which is the cutoff for not having to deal with the nonsense. If you could import a car legally and easily there are a whole lot of cooler cars RHD to import.

As xviper say's, it can be done and would be very cool when it is done, but it would be a major hassle and, as stated above, VERY expensive. It would be cool though.

why the f**k is it cool? Because its "JDM". Because its less safer when driving in a country when everyone drives on the right hand side. I'm lost.

Apparently some people really know how to waste their money away. Getting a car imported from outside the US because it only comes in RHD is one thing (i.e. Skyline R34). Getting a car that is already available in the US, and COMES in LHD, and converting it to RHD because it looks "cool"......words fail me.

By the way, I've looked into importing a JDM car, and fugetaboudit. Converting is your only option. In order to import one, you could probably do it if it's a show-car only, but to actually register one for the road requires NHTSA (crash testing), EPA (emissions), and don't forget about customs.

It's not feasible.

It seems to me that you are very young and impressionable. You "listen" to people without first determining if they're talking out their ass. You've "heard" this and you've "heard" that. The DBW steering just pushed you over the top when it comes to your sources.
Oh, and that 550+ whp? Who you been listening to on that one? I think you need a reality check and a bit of growing up to do.
