Default Richmond 4.57 gears

Im thinking of getting the ricks gears with the comptech diff. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good shop in or around the sacramento area that will install them. Those who have gears, how much did you pay for installation.

Comptech in Eldorado Hills will do it - at least they were willing to do mine in conjunction with their own reinforced diff. I wound up going another route but they're worth a call; good work, not cheap.

No, that is old news. The never version have eliminated 90-95% of it.

I have the "old" 4:57 gearset and after about 500 whiney miles I switched to Amsoil and the whine - from appx 3500-4800 rpm - has diminished to insignificance. Even with the top up. Best mod you can do for the money imo, even with whine. And if the "new" gearset is whineless so much the better!
