Default Revving high in 1st

I feel like this is a newb question, but how high do you guys usually rev before engaging the clutch in 1st? I feel like, since there's such low torque, that I'm revving it too high so it doesnt' bog...

Oh, I don't know if I was clear enough. I meant just taking off in 1st. Thanks.

Where to rev it to before engaging the clutch depends greatly on the situation and how you wish to take off. On level to slightly downhill grade, I could take off anywhere from just above idle to just over 1500 rpm. If I were in normal traffic on level ground, leaving from a stop sign or traffic light, I might take it to 3000 to 4000 rpm. If I'm in a hurry and want to take off briskly, I might rev it to between 5000 and 6000 rpm. Of course, for each scenario, my clutch action is commensurate with what I'm trying to do.
You see, there is no one answer to your question. You must operate your clutch and throttle according to the driving situation at hand.

I guess what rpm for normal driving. I usually rev it to about 2500, but it seems like that may be overkill. I've left at lower rpms but sometimes it bogs down a little. I was just wondering if you guys usually leave around there or lower in normal driving to compensate for the low torque.

don't feel it bog unless you drop the clutch at low revs. By drop the clutch I mean take your foot off real quick. If you dis-engage the clutch while giving it some gas you should be OK anywhere above idle. (IMO)

Watch out about dropping the clutch. I think you should ease off gradually b/c you can fry the clutch ie. engine spinning clutch out and you're not moving this brings about a burning smell.

<come on, don't think I'm the only one that's done that >

every situation is different... but i find myself getting to 1500-2000 rpm's and slowly adding more and slipping the clutch to get a smooth, consistent takeoff from a red light on a flat road...

When I first started driving this car I would rev it to 3,500 rpm to just take off moderatley. Now I find myself only revving it to 1500 max, sometimes just a tad above idle. I haven't tried to take off fast yet, still a little scared. This car is a beast!!!
