Then when you bring it in for a warranty clutch replacement, they'll hand you a copy of your post!!

So true. Although a "clutch drop" does not necessarily mean "abuse". It could have meant the owner may have found himself in an "emergency acceleration" scenario. And Honda would have to be able to cross reference your username with the real you.
ps. Since my S/C has voided the warranty anyway, this would not affect me.

You seriously need to let it out AS FAST AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE. it'll hook up and go no problem.

Don't worry, I roasted mine once too, but at more like 7,000 rpm... the smell lingered for 2 hours.

So are you guys saying to let your foot slip off the pedal when it is fully depressed? This would engage the clutch as fast as possible.

my entire clutch looked like someone had put a blow torch to it, it might have lasted a while longer, but unknown time frame, the smell wouldn't go away...whew!! just decided to replace everything...still drive hard ,but no hi rev launches!

I don't want to encourage you to do any more clutch roasting- but once you get a 5000 or 5500 rpm launch just right- oh man, is that a beautiful thing. Like having hot sex with a real babe. Damn, I gotta go take a cold shower now.

While feathering the gas between 6000-7000 RPM, just "yank" your foot off the clutch as fast as possible (all you should be thinking about is getting your foot off the clutch). Once you yank your foot off mash the gas and you're off. Like I said earlier hold on for dear life, as your S should get a bit squirrely.
