silver bullet, thanks. Nice pictures. BTW, any shots of the top when it's down? Is the profile any higher or about the same?

Nice job. Is the roof profile any higher when it's up? Are the elastic straps installed by Honda a standard part when it comes to this retro-fit?

There are 2 sets of elastic straps, that are not too visable in the pictures. These straps are installed to mimic the spring loaded parts of the 02 frame (my frame is still the MY01). I believe the modification work was done by a upholstery shop that the dealership contracted with and not done by the dealer

Thanks again to Silver Bullet for taking the pictures... since I do not have a digital camera, Mike came through for all of us. There may be more pics posted soon by jedwards, as he was also there with a camera. Thanks to John too!

The roof profile didn't appear to be any higher with the top up. However, what I was curious about was the position of the last roof crossmember (furthest rearward). This crossmember on a MY2002 car is in a slightly different position and angle when compared to a MY2000/2001 car. Since we didn't have a chance to put two cars side-by-side in the same position I couldn't easily tell if the roof profiles were different. The roofs didn't appear to be very different from what I could see which also makes sense since it didn't appear than any part of the roof frame was changed or bent to make the top accomodate the glass window. The elastic straps and sleeve do the job of forcing the top to fold differently with the glass window installed.

eimea said that her Honda dealer sent the car to an upholstery shop for the work. As for the straps being part of a kit that Honda is offering. . .perhaps eimea can answer that (I believe she said that she didn't know for sure).

Hmmm... Something must be wrong with my monitor cause except for picture #1, the rest seem to show a GP White model instead of a Spa Yellow. So do we now have multiple pre-02 models modified for the glass window?

Thank you, glad to know my computer monitor is not broken

Did you take a picture of the defroster switch? Was it the same as the 2002 model defroster or was it the hard-top defroster switch? Also was there a "auto disable" micro-switch installed to cut off the defroster when the top is down?

Nice pics. Now I know where to put some elastic straps so the
top will fold correctly.

I will install the defroster since I'd love to have the feature of a real clear & clean window.

I am lagging on my install. I did not even get my top yet, it's
still getting delivered. My 02 soft top is still somewhere in the shipping company's terminal.
